December Newsletter: November Midwifery Stats

Things are busy, busy! I’m preparing to take a team down to Haiti January 5-14, 2018. I am so excited to get back to Haiti! The team will be holding a 2-day clinic, teaching classes to our expectant mamas and holding a baby shower. Plus, we will be teaching our midwives and community healthcare workers, adult and neonatal resuscitation!

We still need several supplies/items to make our week successful, and to replenish our supplies for clinic. I have created three Amazon wish lists to give you an idea of what we are in need of. Please consider purchasing some of the items on our lists.

Maybe your church, work or group of friends is looking for something to give back to this Christmas-We would LOVE your support! I’m hoping to have everything collected by December 15th, so I can begin packing.

Who doesn’t love to purchase baby clothes!? If you’re out and about doing Christmas shopping, consider picking up an item or two for our bebe boutique. We are currently in need of onesies, sleepers, outfits, cloth diapers, baby hygiene products, blankets, socks, hats, etc. *All clothing should be cotton size NB-12M. See the Amazon link for ideas.

Many women approach our midwives about participating in our program to receive midwifery care. We are hoping to send another nurse or birth attendant to the 12 month skilled birth attendant program in the spring. By having another trained midwife, we will be able to provide care to more mothers and babies.

We are still working towards raising money for the future birthing center. Please continue to pray for us as our dream becomes a reality!

A traditional Haitian home.

Wow! Another busy month catching babies!
