December 2019 Newsletter: Nov. Midwifery Care Stats + #GivingTuesday

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” {John 1:1-2}

Dear Friends,

Please continue to pray for the people of Haiti. There is still a lot of political conflict affecting the people of Haiti. In the countryside, where we are located, things are much more quiet. However, our staff and families are being effected through fuel shortages and an increasing prices for food and transportation.

The New York Times wrote an article explaining the situation in Haiti: ‘There Is No Hope’: Crisis Pushes Haiti to Brink of Collapse. Reading this article will give you a bigger picture on what is currently going on in Haiti.

The best way you can support the people of Haiti through our organization at this time of hardship is through financial support. Partnering with us as monthly donor or making a one-time contribute allows us to pay our staff monthly and to provide end-of-the-year bonuses.

Throughout our the newsletter you will find several opportunities to give. We are also offering 20% off all items in our Etsy store now until December 9th using the code “christmas”.

Thank you for your prayers, encouragement and financial support.

Blessings,

Ashley Stills, CPM
BOLH Founder + Executive Director

Want to join us in supporting a good cause? This #GivingTuesday we are raising money for Breath of Life Haiti and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. And on GivingTuesday Dec 3, Facebook will match a total of $7 million in donations first come, first served. Thank you for your support.

This year for #GivingTuesday we are raising money to cover the expense (12 month salary) of hiring a principal for the primary school and to cover a 12 month salary of one of our teachers that we are currently underfunded for.

To give, go to our facebook campaign. Or you can give through Pure Charity.
